Chicken Saag
What you’ll need:
- 100g Curry Flavours Chicken Saag Spice Mix
- 100ml Cooking Oil
- 600ml Water
- 1 kg Diced Chicken Pieces
- 50ml Thickened Cream
- 20-30g Butter
Total Yield 1.75 Kg
Serves 8
Instructions to prepare:
- Add oil and water, followed by diced chicken and partially cook off. Cover the pan to retain the juices
- Add the spice mix and stir well,
- Add water and spice mix to tomatoes and bring to boil and add the chickpeas.
- Finally add thickened cream and butter and simmer off. (Simmer on low heat)
- Chicken Saag is now ready to serve – Add salt to taste.
TIP:
- Add a diced tomato in the curry while simmering if desired
- Garnishing with Coriander leaves, ginger juliennes and sliced tomatoes
- Serve with a wedge of lemon if desired
